Properties:
Technical product is colourless crystalline powder. M.p. 105°C . V.p. 1.7 × 10 -3 mPa (20°C ). Soluble in water 36mg/L (pH 5-9, 20°C ). In dichloromethane> 200, isopropanol, toluene 50-100, hexane <0.1 (all in g/L, 20°C ). Stable to elevated temperatures, and to photolysis and hydrolysis in pure water, under sterile conditions; hydrolysis DT 50 >1 y (pH 4-9, 22 °C).
Uses:
Tebuconazole Usage As a seed treatment against smuts and bunts of cereals; foliar spray against Erysiphe, Puccinia, Septoria, Pyrenophora, Rhynchosporium, and other diseases of cereal; Mycosphaerella, Puccinia, Rhizoctonia, and Sclerotium on peanuts; Phoma, Pyrenopeziza, Sclerotinia, Alternaria, and Mycosphaerella on oilseed rape; Botrytis, Guignardia, and Uncinula on grapes; Sigatoka on bananas; Monilia on stone fruit; Venturia and Podosphaera on pome fruit.
Toxicity:
Oral acute oral LD50 for rat 3776mg/kg; Acute dermal LD50 for rat 2011 mg/kg; Acute inhalation LC50 for rat 2.51 mg/l.Mild irritation to the cornea and conjunctiva with all remarkable irritation resolving within 7 days. Rabbit: Slight dermal irritant. Guinea Pig: Positive dermal sensitizer.
